Capital Singers Spring Tour: April 5-7

We love to travel and Capital Singers bus to New York City bi-annually. The next NYC trip will be in December of 2012, which is closer every time I look at the calendar! During years we do not travel to NYC we take a 2 night trip to either Orlando or Tampa. We’ve “adopted” several schools that we have visited repeatedly, and this year we are adding an exciting new school, the University of South Florida!

Our singers will be in a workshop with Dr. James Bass at USF and will also tour the school and new performing arts facility. We will be singing for his choirs and with his choir during the day on campus. Informal events like this are extremely rewarding and some of our best Capital Singer memories. There is a lot of relaxation built into this trip and I think you will find the students come home less tired than when they left! The hotel has an incredible indoor/outdoor pool that few can resist. The students are in suites, 6 girls in a suite and 4 or 5 guys in a suite.

April 5, Thursday
We leave at 2:00 pm, missing no school Black polo shirt and Kakhi pants are needed

April 6, Friday
One day of Field Trip, this is the day we spend at USF

April 7, Saturday
Busch Gardens, here we come!
Home by 10:00 pm

Housing is at the Embassy Suites, USF/Busch Garden.
We have stayed at this hotel before and besides being lovely and very student friendly they have a lot of free food!
Annett Bus is transporting the group

Total cost of the trip is $190 per student. This is due March 1. Checks payable to Leon Friends of Music, Inc or pay online with a credit card.
