PJ Wilford

PJ Wilford graduated from Florida State University in 2012 with a Bachelors from the College of Music, specializing in voice.  During his time at FSU, PJ was able to work with highly valued professors and voice instructors including Dr. Kevin Fenton, Dr. Andre Thomas, Professor Barbara Ford, Dr. Carla Connors, and Professor Larry Gerber.  in 2009, PJ competed in and placed second at NATS. He was also a 4-year member of University Singers, led by Dr. Kevin Fenton, as well as All-Night Yahtzee, FSU’s premier co-ed pop a cappella group.  For two of these four years, PJ served as Yahtzee’s music director, arranging and teaching all music and leading the group to competitions with one of his arrangements being selected to appear on the coveted collegiate compilation album: BOCA (Best of Collegiate A Cappella) and another arrangement appearing on Voices Only.  Since graduating, PJ has had the opportunity to teach music to children of all ages at Young Actors Theatre as the company’s Assistant Music Director.  At Young Actors Theatre, he teaches music classes, music directs and/or assistant music directs productions, oversees and runs sound tech for these productions, as well as directing the middle school touring troupe “Act 1.” Alongside teaching at Young Actors Theatre, PJ served as a church music minister from 2012 – 2018 and is currently teaching private voice lessons.  He is ecstatic for the opportunity to return to his alma mater as a voice instructor!
