Prior to her appointment at Leon, Lisa taught keyboard classes at Raa Middle School Magnet of the Performing Arts for six years building a successful piano program that cultivated over 200 music students a year.

Lisa served as Director of Music and Pianist at Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church for 13 years after spending 8 years as Pianist and Children’s Choir Director at First United Methodist Church, Melbourne. She also held choral director positions at Satellite High School and DeLaura Junior High School in Brevard County where she operated voice and piano studios.

She is in demand as a freelance pianist playing for schools and events throughout the South East as well as accompanying nationally renowned conductors in Florida All-County and All-State Choirs. She is currently the accompanist for the Women’s Chamber Choir, ‘Voces Angelorum’ in Tallahassee.

Lisa is a product of the Leon County School District, having attended Cobb Middle School, Lincoln High School and eventually interning at Leon High School. She received her B.M. in Voice Performance and B.M.E in Choral Music from Florida State University.

Lisa has also been active in the local Musical Theatre Community, directing music and playing for numerous shows at Quincy Music Theatre, Theatre Tallahassee and Leon High School.

When Mrs. Leaman is not ridiculously overindulging her 4 chickens, 2 dogs & 3 cats, she spends her time with her 4 sassy daughters and her mischievous husband, Scott.
