Band Handbook and Agreement
The following is the official Handbook for the Leon High School Band. It contains all pertinent information regarding the program and should answer any questions you may have. Students and Parents are asked to read the handbook carefully and submit the last page. The last page has been pulled out for your convenience and is listed at “Signature Sheet.”
The following are the documents that must be completed in order for students to participate in Marching Band. Without these forms on file students will not be permitted to participate in outdoor rehearsals of any kind. Additionally, they allow us to update files and manage student participation. They must be completed each year.

This form shows which payment option you would like to use for your student. Additional options are available upon a meeting with the director.
Request for Absence Form
The Request for Absence Form should be submitted any time an absence it going to occur. Students who fill out the attached form and email to Mr. Commander no later than one week prior to the absence. Request for Absence Forms not received by the week deadline will be considered unexcused. If a student is sick, they should turn in the Request for Absence within 24 hours of their return.
School Year – Instrument Rental Form
Please use this form when checking out an instrument from Leon High School. Please note that there is no charge for the instruments but, families should be careful with maintaining the instrument. A different form must be on file for each instrument loaned to a student.
Lessons Academy Application
Leon High School Performing Arts are happy to be able to provide private lessons through the use of our academy. The following form needs to be filled out in order to place students in their appropriate studio and help facilitate the availability of scholarships. There is only scholarship money available for Bassoon Students for this year. However, new to this year – students and families can select to receive any number of lessons between 1 and 12.
