Dear Parent or Guardian,
Your student has shown interest in auditioning for the 2025 ACDA honor choir! The ACDA honor choirs are highly select groups of choral students from Florida’s middle/junior high and senior high schools who are brought together for the purposes of rehearsing and performing selected music with world renowned guest conductors. The audition consists of the student learning a prepared excerpt then recording a track and submitting it to ACDA. (We will do this for them the week of September 2nd)
Please see the information below about what is expected of the students at the auditions. The cost of auditioning for ACDA is $20 per person, which is covered by Leon Choral Department.
What does each student need to do now?
- Return this form signed by the day the student has signed up to audition (the week of Sept 2)
- Learn the sheet music (copies in the chorus room and practice tracks are on our website)
When is it and how much does ACDA Cost?
The trip itself is October 23-25, 2025 to Orlando, FL and costs each student $250. The cost of an adult chaperone is the same. It is possible that your student may be the only student to make the choir and thus you would need to chaperone, which would require fingerprinting by Leon County Schools (currently $61)
This price is already with a heavy subsidy from the Choral Department and LFM, Inc. STUDENT MAKES ACDA CHOIR AND NEEDS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE—they will not be denied the experience!
