How do I audition?

The Florida ACDA Honor Choir is by RECORDED audition.  You will need to learn the given excerpts and we will record you singing them.  Recordings will take place September 1st after school in a practice room. 10-12 graders, you will need to sign up for a recording time with Mrs. Peck. 9th graders, Ms. Smith will record you in class.

What do I need to do now?

  1. 10th-12th grade students – start learning the music now. The practice tracks are on our website www.leonchorus.com (click on the ACDA link!)
  2. Make sure you can sing it without your part playing back in your ear.

Remember: This choir is blindly chosen by recorded audition.  The stronger the recording (including great vocal tone, musicianship, security and independence) the higher your chances of making the ACDA honor choir.

How much does ACDA Cost?

The trip itself costs $200, but Leon Friends of Music HEAVILY subsidizes this trip.  IF A STUDENT MAKES THE FLORIDA ACDA CHOIR AND CAN’T PAY – they will not be denied the experience!
